Key Performance Area
• Administration mainly recording overtime, time sheets, reports and correspondence. • Control of stock and assets. • Compile monthly reports, time sheets, etc. • Public liaison, deal directly with public and other parties regarding queries regarding Roads and Stormwater. • Site inspections for problem solving. • Supervision over Roads and Stormwater Workforce at Virginia. • Give technical support for Civil Engineering Services. • Fleet management over the Roads Fleet and equipment. • Responsible for planning of tasks and division of workload amongst subordinates • Responsible for safety of all subordinates.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 with mathematics or equivalent Technical Qualification NQF Level 4 in Civil Engineering plus 3 years supervisory experience. Background in Roads Maintenance, computer literacy and a valid driver’s license.

• Responsible for the maintenance works on the reticulation systems and for the restoration of the area afterwards. • Responsible for regular physical inspections and problem solving at pump stations. • Render support services to wastewater maintenance operators / assistant plumbers and artisan aids. • Responsible for inspection of new water connections and to repair excavations resulting from broken lines and to render a service to the satisfaction of the public. • Handle water meter, water network and sewer network related complaints from the public. • Responsible for planning of tasks and division of workload amongst subordinates. • Provide in-service training to Plumbers, Assistant Plumbers and Artisan Aids. • Control overtime, timesheets and schedule standby duties. • Order equipment to ensure no-disruptive services. • Responsible for safety of all subordinates. • Give technical support for Civil Engineering Services • Responsible for limiting exposure of workers in and public to wastewater spillages by doing proper maintenance.
Minimum Requirements
Registered Plumber with 3 years relevant experience with supervisory. Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license.
